#1 – Embroidered Jeans Jacket Project
The bee jacket
My latest hobby—embroidering denim jackets—started with this very project. I came across this stunning pattern by Emillie Ferris. It was simply too beautiful to just hang on the wall; I wanted to do something different with it. I decided to embroider it directly onto a denim jacket, because nothing beats wearing your artwork and enjoying it over and over again. This pattern had such a stunning effect, especially with all the little hairs on the bee and the textures that this type of embroidery creates. The stitches are more modern, which makes embroidery suddenly feel very exciting. People often associate embroidery with cross-stitch and think of it as old-fashioned and dusty. But to me, embroidery is an absolute dream of a hobby—one that creates beautiful, and definitely modern, results right before your eyes.

Emillie Ferris has created a truly beautiful book, which includes this pattern among many others. It’s a wonderful introduction to both basic and advanced embroidery stitches, packed with helpful information. I really recommend reading through this book before starting a project. It’s not just filled with gorgeous patterns, but is also incredibly educational and can help you achieve even better results. I absolutely love it. There's even a second book out now!
For the bee’s body and wings, I used silver and gold thread, which added even more depth to the design and gave the result a more luxurious look.

#1 – Projekt Jeansjacke mit Stickerei
Die Bienenjacke
Mein neuestes Hobby – Jeansjacken besticken – begann mit genau diesem Projekt. Ich stieß auf dieses wunderschöne Muster von Emillie Ferris. Es war einfach zu schön, um es nur an die Wand zu hängen – ich wollte etwas anderes damit machen. Also entschied ich mich, es direkt auf eine Jeansjacke zu sticken. Denn was gibt es Schöneres, als sein Kunstwerk zu tragen und sich immer wieder daran zu erfreuen? Wenn du neugierig auf den Entstehungsprozess bist, schau gerne auf meinem Instagram vorbei. Ich bin gespannt, ob es dir genauso viel Freude bereitet wie mir. Mit jedem Stich wurde ich glücklicher.
Dieses Muster hat eine unglaublich schöne Wirkung – besonders durch all die feinen Härchen der Biene und die Texturen, die durch diese Art des Stickens entstehen. Die Stiche sind eher modern, was das Sticken plötzlich richtig spannend macht. Oft denkt man bei Stickerei nur an Kreuzstich und verbindet damit etwas Altmodisches oder Verstaubtes. Aber für mich ist Sticken ein echtes Traumhobby, bei dem wunderschöne – und vor allem moderne – Ergebnisse direkt vor den eigenen Augen entstehen.

Emillie Ferris hat ein wirklich wunderschönes Buch veröffentlicht, in dem unter anderem auch dieses Muster enthalten ist. Es ist eine tolle Einführung in grundlegende und fortgeschrittene Sticktechniken – mit unglaublich vielen Informationen. Ich kann es wirklich empfehlen, dieses Buch durchzulesen, bevor du mit einem Projekt beginnst. Es ist nicht nur ein Buch mit schönen Mustern, sondern vor allem ein lehrreiches Werk, das dich zu noch besseren Ergebnissen führen kann. Ich bin total begeistert davon. Inzwischen gibt es sogar ein zweites Buch!
Den Körper und die Flügel der Biene habe ich mit Silber- und Goldfäden bestickt, was dem Muster noch mehr Tiefe und dem Endergebnis eine besonders edle Note verleiht.

#1 – Proyecto Chaqueta Vaquera Bordada
La chaqueta de abeja
Mi nueva afición – bordar chaquetas vaqueras – comenzó con este proyecto. Me encontré con este precioso diseño de Emillie Ferris. Era simplemente demasiado bonito para colgarlo en la pared, así que quise hacer algo diferente con él. Decidí bordarlo directamente sobre una chaqueta vaquera, porque no hay nada mejor que llevar tu propia obra de arte puesta y disfrutarla una y otra vez. Si tienes curiosidad por el proceso, échale un vistazo a mi Instagram. Me encantaría saber si te hace tan feliz como a mí. Con cada puntada, me sentía más feliz.
Este diseño tuvo un efecto increíble, especialmente con todos los pelitos de la abeja y las texturas que se logran con este tipo de bordado. Las puntadas son más modernas, lo que hace que el bordado resulte de repente muy interesante. A menudo se piensa que bordar es solo punto de cruz y que tiene una imagen anticuada o pasada de moda. Pero para mí, bordar es un hobby soñado, que da lugar a resultados preciosos y muy modernos justo delante de tus ojos.

Emillie Ferris ha publicado un libro precioso que incluye este diseño, entre muchos otros. Es una excelente introducción tanto a puntadas básicas como avanzadas, y contiene muchísima información útil. De verdad recomiendo leer este libro antes de empezar un proyecto. No es solo un libro con patrones bonitos, sino también un recurso muy didáctico que puede ayudarte a obtener resultados aún mejores. ¡Estoy encantada con él! Y ahora incluso hay un segundo libro.
Para el cuerpo y las alas de la abeja utilicé hilo de plata y de oro, lo que aporta aún más profundidad al diseño y un toque de elegancia al resultado final.

#1 – Projet Veste en Jean Brodée
La veste d'abeille
Ma nouvelle passion – broder des vestes en jean – a commencé avec ce projet. Je suis tombée sur ce magnifique motif d’Emillie Ferris. Il était tout simplement trop beau pour le laisser accroché à un mur, je voulais en faire quelque chose de différent. J’ai donc décidé de le broder directement sur une veste en jean. Il n’y a rien de mieux que de porter sa propre œuvre d’art et d’en profiter encore et encore. Si tu es curieux(se) du processus, jette un œil à mon Instagram. J’ai hâte de savoir si cela te rend aussi heureux(se) que moi. À chaque point, je souriais davantage.
Ce motif a un effet absolument magnifique, surtout avec tous les petits poils de l’abeille et les textures que ce style de broderie permet de créer. Les points sont plutôt modernes, ce qui rend la broderie soudainement très intéressante. On pense souvent que la broderie se limite au point de croix, avec une image un peu vieillotte ou poussiéreuse. Mais pour moi, broder est un hobby de rêve, qui donne naissance à des résultats superbes, et surtout très modernes, sous tes propres yeux.

Emillie Ferris a publié un très beau livre, dans lequel tu peux retrouver ce motif, entre autres. C’est une excellente introduction aux points de broderie de base comme aux techniques plus avancées – il regorge d’informations utiles. Je le recommande vivement avant de commencer un projet. Ce n’est pas seulement un livre de jolis motifs, c’est surtout un guide très formateur qui peut t’aider à obtenir des résultats encore plus impressionnants. J’en suis totalement fan. Et il existe même un deuxième livre maintenant !
Pour le corps et les ailes de l’abeille, j’ai utilisé du fil argenté et doré, ce qui donne encore plus de profondeur au motif et apporte une touche d’élégance au résultat final.

蜜蜂夹克
